Summary
Dazai had seemingly been eavesdropping on their conversation, because he chimed in: “I mean, everyone wants to be a girl on some level, right?”
Everyone’s heads whipped around to look at him as the room went silent.
“That’s bullshit, Dazai,” Chuuya said, eyebrows raised. “The whole reason I transitioned was because I very much did not want to be a girl. On any level.”
Or, Dazai has a thought or two about her gender, Chuuya is oblivious until he isn't, and they try to navigate their new enemies-to-no-longer-enemies relationship.

“Like a victim of a bear mauling,” Chuuya corrects.
“I quite like the mauled-by-a-bear aesthetic. Besides, it’s not like I care much about my appearance anyway.”
“Sure you don’t.”
“I don’t.”
“And that’s why you avoid mirrors and only wear baggy clothes.”Dazai’s not comfortable in his own body, and that’s fine for him because that’s how it’s been for as long as he can remember. Who it’s not fine for, because he’s an annoying, goody-two-shoes, stick-your-nose-where-it-doesn’t-belong chivalric wannabe, is Chuuya.

Summary
The smooth fabric of Dazai’s dress was cool to the touch under Chuuya’s hand. Chuuya was thankful Kouyou taught him the basics of dancing, because if she hadn’t, Chuuya’s hand would be sweating more than it already was against Dazai’s. Dazai glided across the dance floor majestically, with a grin, effortlessly dancing. Better than Kouyou, he’d even say.
Eventually, they made their circle around the dance floor, and they danced their way off onto the regular part of the building.
“I didn’t see her, did you?” he asked Dazai, trying to wipe his sweaty hand off secretly.
“Hm?” Dazai hummed, fixing his bangs. “Oh, she’s not on the dance floor at all. I just wanted to dance.”

He didn’t care enough about his shoes getting dirty with mud, or his wet hair sticking to his face nor his clothes feeling heavy. He didn’t care so he didn’t go home.
That was- until lightning striked.
He jumped, a squeal leaving his mouth.
He turned around, setting himself to go back.
A small sound took him out of his thoughts, it was followed by a screech and squawks.
Something fell over with an empty thud by his left, behind the bushes nearby. His ears flickered at the sound.
Slowly and carefully he approached the source of the sound.
There was a bird, trashing in the ground, fighting against a net while it had - an arrow. An arrow was piercing its wing.

Only a few people are awake, playing cards or speaking in hushed tones around the camp as they wake up. Tommy's ears perk up as he hears the scraping of shovels, looking to the side he sees trenches being dug farther out on the field. Slowly the camp is preparing for battle.

Tommy is your average teen. Lives with his two friends. An orphan. Has trauma. Works at a coffee shop. All normal teenager things.
One day he decides to become the vigilante Phoenix. Not like there are any heroes on his side of town. And all is well. He is loved by the public. He thrives. Until he catches the attention of the SBI, a group of villains, well known by the public for being villains I guess. Now he has to deal with the villains following him around trying to get him to go somewhere. What a pain.
What he doesn't know is that avian hybrids are nearly non-existent, besides the Angel of Death of course, and he's caught the eye of some heroes. The SBI hope to keep the unknowing vigilante from falling into the wrong hands with the help from the other villains. Techno took a breath and for a moment Tommy thought he was going to actually pull the trigger. He flinched as he heard the click of the trigger, and then the explosion of the firework. But he was fine. He opened his eyes and saw Technoblade reload his crossbow before putting it away. He pulled out his trident and looked up, holding his free hand out as the first raindrops fell.
“We part as we did the first time. I’ll miss you Theseus.” Techno said softly, pulling his arm back before launching into the air with his trident. Though Tommy swore he heard something he couldn’t decipher it over the loud roar of the withers, the pattering of rain, and the ever insistent booming of the explosives digging ever deeper. Tommy stood, rain soaking his hair and washing his face of the soot and ash of the country he once built with his brother.
