There is no good definition for what sex is, because it’s more than what makes a baby. Sex can be done all sorts of ways, so I wondered, what qualifies?
My conclusion was that sex can be whatever consenting partners decide. Sex is a consensual act between two people that results in an orgasm, so it can be all kinds of things.
As someone who is disabled, queer, and has a lot of kinks, I always wondered if how I saw sex was right? Can it be sex if you just use your hands? Does it count if you get off to a kink?
What I realized is that it doesn’t matter, what matters is the love and respect that you show for the other person you do it with. It’s just about doing what feels good and is safe, and it’s really that simple.
Don’t let anyone tell you what is or isn’t valid about intimacy. As long as nobody is hurt, un-consenting, or uncomfortable in the act, your way of having sex behind closed doors is perfectly ok, because it’s what right for you.
It is no sin to make pleasure out of your own body in a safe way, to be gay, straight, bi, or ace, and that’s what this series explores!
