They shouldn't be. Lark's good. He’s making dinner, cleaning the garage, making art. He has every right to enjoy this while it lasts.

It isn’t okay. Not in the way it should be okay. Not in the neutral, unsettling, horrible way that Lark expects to feel after a fight. And that fight was two days ago. He isn’t okay.
He wants Grant. He wants Grant, because Grant will fight him. Grant will do what the others won’t. Grant is mean to him like an older brother is mean, and he's kind like and older brother is kind and Grant can help him. Grant will fix him. Grant will take care of him because he can't take care of himself.
