Steve gives her a skeptical look, “Combine?”
“No, think about it.,” She says, “I know exactly what I want, and I’ve found the girl of my dreams but I just can’t get the courage to ask her out. And meanwhile you go on a million dates and you have no idea what you want.”
He hums in agreement. Robin continues, “So if we just combined…”
“Oh…”
“All our problems would be solved. Because I mean, alone- let's face it.”
“We totally suck.” Steve says.
‘Totally and utterly.” Robin agrees.
It’s supposed to be a silly pipe dream. Key word being supposed.

Summary
The prophecy will come to pass. This is a certainty.
What's not so certain is when it'll come to pass. And for the SOUL, whom is not interested in the least of watching these teenagers suffer for much longer, it'll go to any lengths to give them some much-needed R&R.
Enter a familiar voice, whom after brief consideration with the SOUL, helps it concoct a plan to delay the continuation by just one day, allowing the heroes to get in said much-needed relaxation on the day of the festival.
The only problem with that is, a pretty severe loophole is needed to stop it in its tracks. And while the SOUL is willing to go to certain lengths to accomplish that...
Kris doesn't know what to make of the familiar-looking monster in the mirror.
OR
The SOUL turns Kris into a monster for 24 hours so they're freed from the role of the Cage and can enjoy the festival with their friends, but unfortunately in the process uncovers some deep-seated traumas

Summary
ISAT Space/Sci-Fi au, themed around Siffrin, one of the last remaining humans in the Deep, discovering what happened to Earth, learning forbidden ancient magiks, finding eldritch deep space gods, and the reasons why you must never, EVER try finding croissants in outer space. Among other things.
There is no way to go back. The only path is forward, through thorns to the stars.
