Summary
It’s Saturday night and Billy is being held against his will.
He’s lamenting his sorry excuse for a weekend at the Harrington’s obnoxiously big dining table and surrounded by a bunch of shitheads, who despite now being twenty something year old adults are still the screeching horrors they were in their teens.
Billy mourns the loss of the time when he used to be cool, when Saturday nights typically meant parties or bonfires at the beach or even if his weekends are slower paced now that he’s a little older, just anything but Dungeons and fucking Dragons.

How Steve smells, how his room smells, how the soap in his bathroom is shaped like a clam shell and he shouldn't take that as a sign it's not a sign but what if it is? What if that means, just, yeah. This is it. This is the thing you wanted, the break you needed. Here’s this boy and he wants you like you want him. Maybe not as much, though. Billy probably won't ever tell Steve how much he wants him. Needs him. Loves him. It’s not- it won’t turn out if he does.

“You’re shaking,” Nancy exclaimed, arms still crossed. Her annoyed stance was a clear sign that Billy had surpassed her patience limit.
Billy huffed, wiping filth from his forehead with the back of his hand. He’d have to convince Miss perfect into letting him walk home or some shit. And Billy was still charming, at least he thought so, regardless of him becoming a hermit these days. But he couldn’t shake off Steve’s angry look. Billy covered his stomach with his arms.
“What’s his problem anyway? He’s been giving me the stink eye,” Billy nodded in Steve’s direction, swallowing hard. It tasted of bitter, venomous metal.

With a sigh, Steve places his phone on his nightstand. It somehow tips off the edge and knocks hard against the ground, and when he goes to pick it up he smacks his head against the side of the nightstand, causing a loud banging noise from the impact and a shriek of pain from him.
Within two seconds, there’s another text pinging through to his phone.
