Summary
Max isn’t the only one that walks into that final battle with Vecna’s curse waiting to strike. Steve has been having nose bleeds and splitting migraines for a week now, that’s nothing new though, his brain’s been cooked since Billy Hargrove decided to rearrange his face in ‘84.
It’s not until the first bone snaps that he realises what’s happening.OR:
Steve ends up taking Max’s place as Vecna’s final victim and the gang concoct a plan. They’ll open a new portal in the Upside Down, use that connection to travel back to 1983, grab their babysitter and finish the fight before it can start.
Live out their lives as the children and teenagers they never got to be.
Only they get it wrong.
El overshoots by a year, dropping them back into 1982 and Steve Harrington has no idea who any of them are.ABANDONED:(

Eddie knocked violently on Nancy’s window way too early, or late, depending on who’s asked, as loud as he could without worrying about being heard.
“God, don’t any of you know how to use a door?” Nancy hissed at him, letting him climb through the window once she had gotten out of bed. “Is something wrong?”
Eddie practically glared at her, looking down with an expression he knows can be terrifying, an expression that he usually saves for when he needs to scare someone off. “Yeah, I would say there's something wrong. Something really fucking wrong”
Eddie finds out that Nancy cheated on Steve and no one said anything about it.
