Summary
Like most of Gale’s problems since the Nautiloid, this whole mess is Tav’s fault. He doesn’t know exactly what Tav told Astarion when Gale was out of the room, but he trusts that they didn’t betray his confidence. Probably.
Whatever it is has made Astarion act even stranger than normal and it is threatening Gale’s very carefully curated compartmentalization of his feelings for the man.

“So is the Great Gale of Waterdeep admitting that he has a vampire fetish?”
He forces him a step backward with a strategic leg in between, hurried and fissured. The main objective is, of course, that they manage to inch ever closer towards the bed.
“I’ve been known to ah, carouse salaciously sanguine novelettes, if you will,” Gale blushes, then leans back in towards Astarion as if he can steal a kiss in between the points of his attempt at explanation. And he does. “But I’d like to think it indicates more of a, ah, attraction to a little bit of danger, if I’m being honest?”
Well. Quite.
“Oh, how felicitous it has been for you then—to find yourself in the company of the indubitable embodiment of your fiction fantasies, hmm?” He turns his index finger into a hook, then crooks it to skim along the curve of his collar; a sluice of a thing. “Does that make you my little monster-fucker?”

“What?” Now, Wyll seems truly tickled. “Astarion, I was referring to the robe. Don’t you wonder where those scales came from?” He pauses. Tilts his head to the side, swirls his stupid wine in his stupid glass. “What were you talking about?”
In which one Wavemother’s robe helps Astarion discovers the true – hah – scale of the problem at hand. Specifically: the one in his pants.

Summary
Will knew what had happened. He knew exactly how Abigail's ear had gotten into him, who had shoved it down his throat. He also knew that trying to indicate Hannibal as a killer again was futile. Jack seemed to want to believe him, going by the conversation in the BSHCI's visitor hall, but Jack needed something concrete, evidence. Hannibal had eluded capture for so long, he wasn't going to start leaving fingerprints or hairs at his crime scenes now.
No, Will was going to deal with Hannibal Lecter on his own terms. The man deserved to reap what he'd so carefully sowed, didn't he? He deserved to experience what he'd coaxed forth from the bottom of Will's soul, to see the result of his machinations.
