Summary

Summary
Charles follows Edwin like a shadow. Edwin looks at Charles like a dying man might look at the stars. She knows something went down, has inferred enough to know they’ve known each other for years and years before whatever happened to separate them for a month. Whatever happened, it made both reluctant to part unless absolutely necessary. Crystal is still convinced that Charles would move into Edwin’s rib cage if he could.
She’s a bit of a cynic and admittedly tired of the way the two of them, with all their clinging, don’t quite seem to reach each other, but she knows where Niko’s coming from. It’s sweet. In its own way.
- suffering from demon-induced amnesia in a town where nobody knows her, crystal starts working at a magic shop. it all goes pearshaped from there, between harbouring fugitives from hellhounds, her expanding psychic powers and entering a magic bond with a shapeshifter. but at least there is niko, amidst the chaos.
