“Looks like I bit you.” Will tilts his head to get a better look. All Mike can do is stare at him. His fluffy hair at the front, clumped pieces at the back where he’d slid his fingers in a mere few minutes before. His pretty green eyes that look hazel or even brown in this light, the dark circles he gets when he drinks framing them like intricate paintings. A satisfied, bloody smile.
Mike isn’t satisfied. He swallows thickly, choking down the words 'don’t you want more?'
Or: Will dresses as a vampire for a college halloween party, but Mike thinks his costume isn’t bloody enough. Will lets him fix it. Mike goes into a crisis.

Will sighs, resigned. He drops his hands. “Okay. Honestly?” He hesitates, then shrugs. “He was a bad kisser. And I just… couldn’t get excited around him. At all.”
The reaction is immediate and merciless. Dustin makes a dramatic gagging noise. El gasps like she’s been handed gossip gold. Lucas high-fives Max, shaking her hand in his.
Mike doesn’t say anything. He just watches Will, watches the way he shrugs it off, the way he laughs a little too loud, the way his ears go red.
Or, Will's new boyfriend is a bad kisser. Mike thinks it's a crime that no one has kissed Will properly. He's on a goal to change that, Carlton be damned.

Par la suite, son cerveau hyperactif et son flot de pensées angoissantes ne cessent de prendre le dessus sur son quotidien, le poussant à remettre en question sa complicité avec Sidjil et tout ce qu'elle implique réellement.L'histoire qui retrace l'éveil des sentiments de Maxime envers Sidjil, pavée de péripéties en tout genre, de déni et d'aveuglement irritant pour tous ceux qui les entourent.
