Summary
If Vanity wasn’t going to play fair, then neither would Supergirl.
I was mostly enjoying this old fanfic about a benevolent-megalomaniac!Lena going by the supervillain name Vanity, but then it took a turn that left me with a cocktail of feelings that compelled me to write. And now I’m sharing the result, for anyone else who remembers having a bad reaction to the whole bracelet thing (and its shocking lack of consequences) and could still use some (slightly anvilicious) catharsis.
Obviously contains spoilers for (and will be largely incomprehensible without having read) Vanity at least up to chapter 31.

Summary
Red Daughter is no longer Red Daughter. She is Marya George Wilson, with a life of her choosing, and a girlfriend who was once her nemesis. But that is just the beginning of her story. Through betrayals and crises and ancient conspiracies, and escapes and rivalries with extra-dimensional beings, she will leave her mark on each of those challenges as well as the world around her. She will get up to hijinks, and heroics, and (mostly) minor crimes. She will pick one terrible superhero name after another, but stick forever with the same awful suit.

Summary
There is a dangerous valley of frustration one can fall into as they draw close to perfection. Where they are so close that it is annoying they aren’t just that little bit more. Hunter lives in that valley. She has a house there. And a palace. And a temple. She is the goddess of that valley, watching over its near-perfect citizens as they form near-perfect nations that rise nearly to the pinnacle before their fall.
And it is a very good thing, because not so long ago, Illyana Rasputina had not been in the habit of making the best decisions for herself. If Hunter really had been perfect, then Illyana would have deployed every nuclear option in her arsenal of self-sabotage after the first time Hunter said, “I love you.” If Hunter were a little less perfect, so as to come up to but not enter the valley, well, that would still be a lot of good—more than Illyana could ever believe she deserved—with nothing to offset it, and the result would be the same.
The frustration was key. It basically made everything work.

Summary
This is a rejection of the canonical Kryptonian naming conventions as the relics of early-20th-century patriarchy that they are. Readers are welcome—if not encouraged—to use these alternate conventions in their own fiction if they so wish.

How do you honor the passing of a sister you had never known? Who was kryptonian, but not Kryptonian? Who was denied the chance to even know herself?
The best you can.

Summary
The Legion’s knowledge of this time period being as spotty as it was, her survival alone is not necessarily a deviation, but she also very publicly attacked Lex Luthor. Where we had video of Supergirl attempting to rescue Lex from his exosuit’s loss of flight capability, now the same video (and many others, from multiple cameras of both the cellphone and news persuasion) shows Lex attempting to fly while Red Daughter clings to his suit and burns a hole through its helmet with harun-el-enhanced heat vision. It is likely only thanks to his own harun-el superpowers that he lives long enough to break free of her hold, at which point he plummets to the ground and his suit explodes. No body is left behind, as in the history I remember.
The videos have already gone viral, and the degree to which #EvilSupergirlBestSupergirl is trending (along with other, “thirstier” hashtags according to social butterfly Nia) is not something we would have missed even a thousand years in the future. Clearly, history has changed, and I can once again only hope it is for the better.

Summary
"I told myself I could wait until you got back." Lena got closer and sighed into the space not covered by her turtleneck. Her breath was warm, and it caressed her open skin like the shawl she had wrapped herself in not too long ago. "But I overestimated my ability to be patient when it comes to you."

Summary
Truth be told, Kara hasn't figured out how to wrap her head around this reality. The reality in which she and Lena are together, yet there is a third in their relationship. Not just anybody, but Linda — a person born from Kara's own form, Kara's own image. And she is not mad or sad or jealous about anything, simply that it feels correct, somehow. A fitting of various puzzle pieces, locking in place perfectly. Like all it needed was an acknowledgment of an inevitability.

Summary
Elsa's doctor is concerned for her health in the run-up to her coronation and makes a medically acceptable diagnosis that involves a certain, special treatment. This results in Anna masturbating with a vibrating doorknob. There is some logic in between those two sentences, but only some. Contains Elsanna.
