At the millenia-old answer to the equally old question of “Who is your favorite child”, the people in the interview laughed. As was the only appropriate reaction to the answer.
Tim laughed too. Along with his adopted siblings next to him. His lips parted in a wide smile and his eyes scrunched up as a soft chuckle left his throat.
But inside, Tim was seething.
I love all my children equally.
Bullshit, Tim thought through clenched teeth. Bull-fucking-shit.

Oh and what is this about adults being concerned at the three children with weapons that carry themselves as soldiers? The seven and a fer more are not happy. Considering the difference in universes this changes… some things.
