“You need a fake boyfriend!” Mista explains. “Think: She’s All That, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and I mean, 10 Things I Hate About You does it so well, it’s honestly the best of the genre.”
Giorno purses his lips. “I thought we agreed to not bring up rom-coms again.”

Summary
After overhearing two separate, though equally important conversations in the godswood, Aemond experiences a series of life-shattering epiphanies:
1. All signs point to the gods blessing him and Lucerys with matching souls, a phenomenon that occurs sometimes in dragons and *obviously* means they should be married to each other
2. The surest way to guarantee that his younger nephew reaches this conclusion quickly is by (figuratively) pulling Luke's pigtails, which he has on good authority is a common, well-known way for boys to nonverbally convey their romantic interest
Unfortunately, every single one of Aemond's carefully calculated plans goes horribly wrong. So, when Lucerys slashes his eye out, thus reciprocating the 'pigtail pulling' in a permanent way by marking Aemond as his own, the showdown in the Hall of Nine concludes with drastically different results.

A day in post-canon Giorno and Mista's life featuring angst, fluff, and a few of my headcanons. The focus of this fic isn't on the nature of relationships themselves, hence the 'ambiguous relationships' and 'pre-slash' tags, but the most important thing is that they love and care for each other :)

He gives himself about 3 hours before his cover is completely blown though. Because: This strangely muscular man is extremely intelligent, Mista can't be subtle about anything to save his life and as it turns out, the Mafia is just as bad when it comes to gossip as a group of high school girls.

As he twists and turns this way and that, looking at the way the shorts hug his body, he has to admit that the stretched black fabric looks really flattering on him. Mista has always been kind of curvy, that fact further accentuated by how slim his waist is. In something like this all of his curves are on display and he looks fucking sexy. He grins, feeling good. Maybe he can put these shorts to good use after all.

Before he can say his next word, the violins (and flutes, it seems) play so loudly it nearly bursts Giorno’s eardrums.
“-are you talking about?” he finishes. The music dies down as soon as the curse word leaves his lips. Giorno attempts to override the coincidentally well-timed dynamic change to curse again, but is once again deafened by the music (and now a clarinet solo!). Is he being censored?
He takes a moment to mentally recap every strange detail he's learned about this morning. He apparently lives in a vaguely feudal European kingdom, talks like an old movie star, can’t curse, attracts woodland creatures, and keeps hearing music that he’s meant to sing to. That could only mean one thing.
“Oh my god,” Giorno says, eyes widened. “I’m in a Disney princess film.”

Giorno presents, takes over a criminal organization in his teenage years, and then deals with the consequences of his presentation during one innocuous medical check-up:

“Oh, no. You aren’t taking any suppressants for now. You have to be off them for at least a year.”A story in which becoming a functioning omega again is not the only life changing epiphany that Giorno has to grapple with.
Or AKA a story in which Giorno and Mista stubbornly fall into a series of misunderstandings, assumptions, and emotional crises and Polnareff's and the readers' patience decrease with every chapter.

Giorno Giovanna wanted to live by that notion, but it was hard when he seemed to fall for people so easily. He found so much beauty in people ever since he learned what it was to trust in others. On the good days, he could just sit around and watch people for hours and fall in love with their movements and their laughter, the way they carried themselves, the way their voices hummed out into the world, full of life.
It was easy to fall in love but it was impossible to be loved it would seem. When he falls in love with Guido Mista, this seems especially true. Plagued by his past of abuse and his fear of opening up, Giorno isn't sure how what to do.
*This is the companion piece to When I Fall in Love and tells the same story from Giorno's perspective, but you don't have to read that first. I would suggest reading both however since there are differing scenes between the two.*
