Summary
It's been ten years since that summer that irreversibly altered the course of Pacifica's life. What once seemed assured fell into doubt, and in the years since, it's been curveball after curveball. A messy divorce, a relationship that didn't work out, a college work placement turned sour.
After everything, Pacifica has found herself back in the town where everything went wrong, unsure of where to go from here. Then Wendy - that lumberjane Dipper used to crush on - shows up at the diner and, somehow, against all odds, completely captures her attention. Why? It's not like she knew her that well before, it doesn't make any sense! It's not like she doesn't care about their different upbringings, or is just chill with all of her obnoxious habits, or is really hot, or... crap.
