Summary
Dean kept silent, but he cursed under his breath when he lost any ounce of dignity left in him, pushing against Sam’s tapered fingers creeping gently under his chin, feeling so damn relieved. Sam accepted his offer for now; he slightly lifted his brother’s face, but Dean focused on keeping his gaze down, letting his long lashes tremble the right way, confiding in their power.

Summary
Sam and Dean meet in Heaven; Sam recalls how he had a hard time living after his brother's passing. During that time, he's afraid he won't reach Dean in Heaven if he breaks the promise to carry on. So he prays, getting three different answers from three different ghosts (past, present and future, like in A Christmas Carol) that give him three different perspectives on life: fatalistic, omniscent, hopeful.

Summary
“...I’m… sore,” Wolfwood eventually says, sounding out the word tentatively. Vash’s eyes widen, and he bends his arm, already beginning to lever himself upright with his elbow. “‘S fine—we were just on the road for a while longer than I planned is all.”
“Wolfwood, I’m s—”
“If you say you’re sorry to me I’m gonna hit you,” Wolfwood warns. “I just—I’d feel wrong askin’ you for a massage without offering anything in return, so I thought we could trade off. You do me and I do you.”
The apologetic look vanishes from Vash’s face, leaving something more assessing in its place. He tilts his head, arguably with a neutral expression, but his eyes are so intense it’s hard to feel anything about him is ‘neutral’ in the first place. Wolfwood shifts his weight and swallows. As if he knows what to do with himself when Vash looks at him most of the time, but he feels weirdly exposed having laid his cards on the table, like Vash could just pore through the innermost contents of his mind and read them all out.
Eventually, Vash smiles, and Wolfwood knows he’s been had.
“You’re worried about me.”

Summary
Living with a couple has its challenges, especially when you’re in love with both of them.
Meryl and Wolfwood make a wonderful couple and Vash is very happy for them. Sure, he’s got feelings for them, but he’s content with the way things are. He’s just grateful to have a roof over his head and friends that care about him. No, really, he is. But when he finds himself trapped inside with them during a sandstorm, it becomes harder and harder to keep his distance. Especially since Meryl and Wolfwood seem intent on getting closer to him.
Over the course of one night, Vash falls further into love and lust with them and might just discover that his feelings aren’t as unrequited as he thought.

Meryl shouldn’t have been surprised that even out in the middle of this podunk town she’d been assigned to, trouble would follow Vash the Stampede. Even something as mundane as a grocery trip would inevitably end in a gunfight with that man. Facing down the barrel of a gun was nothing new for Vash. He would be fine, Meryl knew this. He’d survived more attempts on his life than she could likely ever know. If she walked away now, he'd be laughing the whole thing off by tomorrow. But what if, this one time, someone decided to take a stand for him? What if she decided that one more scar was just one too many?
