Summary
AN UPDATED VERSION OF MY 2023 FANFIC
This angst/hurt/comfort story takes place five months after Splinter's death, following the events of Season 4 of TMNT (2012).
Mikey runs away to April's farmhouse after being coldly berated by his brothers during a messed-up patrol. When his brothers go to find him, Mikey is struck by a giant, mutated snake while trying to protect some mutated gophers.
This incident leads to another argument, during which Mikey finally lashes out at his brothers, venting years of pent-up anger and sadness. However, he soon becomes gravely ill due to the snake's potent venom, much to his brothers’ horror.
In a race against time, the brothers seek help from the mutated gophers, desperately trying to find a cure for the poison within five hours, or else Mikey will die.
Through this challenging ordeal, the brothers come to understand the true value and power Mikey holds within the family, realizing just how close they came to breaking apart. They vow to do anything to make things right.
Can they save their baby brother from an agonising death before it's too late? Will they be able to rekindle their brotherhood, or is this the end of the Hamato Clan?

There was no recognition in those little eyes either. And Mikey was little. Tiny. Donnie could have crushed him with his hand if he wanted to.
And Mikey couldn't speak, or scream, he was helpless without weapons or thought. So he hid in his shell.
But for now, he was safe, because he was in Donnie's hands. And he was only in Donnie's hands because he was little. Tiny.

Summary
A REMAKE OF MY PREVIOUS THE LOST SON FANFICTION
In an alternate timeline, long ago, before the events of the 2003 series started, Splinter lost one of the turtles to Bishop when he and his men tried to capture them in the sewers. Believing the youngest one sadly perished, Splinter raised the remaining three, but is still haunted by the nightmares of the one he failed to save.
However, sixteen years later, after the Shredder's demise, the family discovers a feral mutated turtle that has escaped from Bishop's lab and is on the run.
They captured the feral turtle, whom Splinter believes is the lost son.As time goes on, the turtles slowly get to know their possibly lost baby brother and start to open up to him as part of the family, and he, given the name Michelangelo, opens up to the others, too.
But with his dark, tortured past haunting him and Bishop hot on his trail, the family must stop Bishop and protect Mikey from capture.
But the real question is this ... Is the lost turtle the lost son, Michelangelo, or is he just a dangerous experiment from Bishop to destroy them?
