Update: I'm continuing this series because I love the characters and personas that I have made. Also there aren't a lot of top Alec Lightwood fics, even if he is dark in this one ._. I've sunk back into storytelling, so ya'll have to stick with it - I mean you don't have to, but I'd like people to read the new story too - the new music I downloaded got me feeling inspired and dark;)

More and more people were turning away from the Gods, turning toward philosophy and science instead. Dismissing the gods as stories and tales to teach morals.
Not Prince Jace though. Jace was a monster hunter and as such, he still worshiped at the temple. On his knees, at the feet of his god, Lord Alexander, the god of the hunt and protector of hunters.
Until he comes across his god at a lake in the forest and he is overcome with the desire to worship his god in a different way.
Alec finds the prince both spoiled and entertaining, so he gives him the chance to earn the god's touch.
