Kate wakes the next morning to find Yelena curled into her side, their legs tangled together, their hands touching. Yelena blinks slowly at her, smiles. “Good morning,” she says, her voice still heavy with sleep and her accent softly sweet, and there’s that strange flash of familiarity again.
All of a sudden, the realization hits Kate like a sledgehammer: the accent, the blonde hair. The assassin Clint told her about earlier.

“Kate, wait a second.” Bruce called.
Kate stopped her pursuit of the door and turned to face him; confusion written on her face. “Yeah?”
Bruce had finally looked up from his microscope, leaning back in his chair as he scanned her, his eyes landing on her face with a peculiar intensity. His mouth twisted with- was that concern? “How are you doing?”
“Me? I’m fine.” Kate said, probably a little too quickly if the disbelieving expression on Bruce’s face said anything about it.
“Right.” Bruce’s voice dripped with skepticism. “Well, if you ever want to talk about anything I’m here-”
“Sorry but I don’t remember any of your PhD’s being in psychiatry, so unless you went back and got one while the rest of us were living in hell the last five years I don’t know if you’re qualified to be a therapist.” Kate interrupted defensively, and immediately regretted it, wincing. She knew exactly what Bruce had been doing the past five years and couldn’t even imagine the guilt he must feel about it. So why did she say that?Kate and Bruce have a bit of a heart to heart about everything.

For a prompt from avengerkink:
Avenger-of-your-choice gets turned into a dog. They're suddenly tiny, they can't hold their weapon/wear their suit, they want to pee on everything- every problem from every Avenger-turned-into-a-dog story you've ever read.
(Fandom, I love you that you can make that sentence something I can write.)
But this Avenger finds that just because their teammates can't understand them doesn't mean no one can. As a dog, they can communicate just fine with Clint's dog Lucky, who gives them plenty of advice, and helps them save the day.
Bonus if the Avenger who gets turned into a dog isn't Clint, and the information they get from Lucky includes gossip about either or both Hawkeyes that they can use when they're human again.
This is inspired by that prompt though Tony does not have a spoken conversation with Lucky.

“But it helped, yes? The saving her?” Yelena can’t help the hope that creeps into her voice. She kicks herself for it. Hope’s not the sort of thing she’s ever been allowed to have; and she’s got no reason to have it now. She doesn’t even know if Kate would say yes if Yelena were to invite her to do something on a platonic level, let alone if she knew Yelena had any sort of romantic intentions.
If Natasha notices her sister’s little crisis, she pretends she doesn’t. “I guess? We’ve been in a lot of fights. Saved a lot of lives. I don’t think all those people fell in love with us.”
“That is what I needed to know.” Yelena steels her features as she gets to her feet. “Thank you for your help.” She turns on her heel and heads back toward her room.
Natasha trains her gaze on Yelena, watching her go with a furrowed brow. “Yelena? Yelena, I wouldn’t—”
or, kate and yelena ask their respective mentor figures for advice on how to get a girlfriend. it goes about as well as you think.
