Three months after the Kraang invasion, Donnie is struggling with a secret. When he was yanked from the Technodrome like an unejected hard drive, part of the control panel came with him, and has been growing along his nervous system ever since. However, a desire to tell his brothers and a need for a new phone screen put him and Leo in the path of a new and insidious human enemy. While their brothers try to get them back, they are forced to face Donnie's new condition, and the people who are intent on exploiting it any way they can.

“And we don’t exactly have a retirement plan,” Orbo mused. He took a moment to consider Kheirosiphon, shifting around as if looking at him from different angles might help. “... Tell me what you want instead.”
“I think,” Kheirosiphon steepled his approximation of fingers together and looked down, watching as they seemed to meld together, fire melting into fire. “I want to stay in that new world and continue working at the tea shop I’ve been staying at. I want to help the people there rebuild.”
Orbo hummed in consideration. “That’s pretty admirable,” he said, sounding almost impressed. Then he rolled forward as if leaning in conspiratorially. “Look, between you and me, we’re wiping most of this Fionnaworld stuff under the rug, now that it's been properly canonized and all that. I could transfer you over there... But you’d have to agree to be checked up on every so often by a god auditor. Just so we know you aren’t causing any issues."
The choice seemed obvious. “But… I'd be allowed to stay?”
"You would."

Summary
Much to Scarab's annoyance, Prismo throws a party and everyone's invited. He's fine with just being there to try and do his job, that is until someone else shows up and ruins what little peace he had.
Meanwhile for Prismo, he was hopping that finally getting to experience a party might help Scarab feel more included and maybe even socialize more. Too bad he just runs off elsewhere in the time cube for no apparent reason.A story of two idiots learning to live with each other, confront trauma, and catch feelings along the way.
This is my first fanfic spurred into thought when I noticed some things in Fionna and Cake and put together the headcanon that Scarab had wings at one point but lost them. The first chapter was just me rushing to get the idea+reasoning out into the fandom, so feel free to skip it if u wanna get right to the story.
