It should be easy for someone as perfect as Scout to break the curse, right?

Summary
The door that he eventually stops at is unassuming, wooden, and obviously showing its age. However, the room it opens to reveal is much more pleasant, the furniture sparse but tasteful—some bookshelves, a bed, a desk, an armchair. It’s either been recently set up or recently cleaned—at least that’s what Owen assumes, given the lack of dust. Scott closes the door behind them.
He sighs. “I can’t help but notice that you’ve been… neglecting your duties. Really, I thought you were better than that.”
Owen is shocked into a brief, indignant silence. He turns to face Scott. “Excuse me?”
