I’m sorry for all that I was, Till. I was never quite your sun, but I hope I could’ve at least given you a bit of shade.
He couldn’t stop imagining a gentler life though–that dream had given Till everything he had ever wanted. A happy Mizi and Sua, Ivan, the warm sun. He could imagine now, how in a kinder world, he could’ve been made with softer edges. How he could’ve held love in his hands and not broken it.
But Till had not been kind, and he had not been gentle, and he was the reason Ivan had died with a smile on his face.Till wanted to keep them nestled deep within his heart, away from the aliens and their cruelty and his own rough hands. He wanted to remember Ivan as he had lived too, not just as he had died. He wanted to remember the kid who’s always hanging on the corner of his vision, he wanted to remember the man who loved someone like Till so deeply that he had happily died for it.
If Till couldn’t have loved him back, he’ll at least make sure to never forget the love he had been so freely offered. It was the least he could do, to repay Ivan for every gentle touch and kind thought he had offered Till. -

Then Lucette got cursed and they were all (except Rod) made to forgot she had even existed. Small things slipped through though, like Genaro's need to keep the 'doll room' completely clean and his orders to the staff to regularly change the bed sheets and wash the pillows, and Emelaigne staring at one empty seat at the dinner table (Lucette's usual spot, although they hadn't know it at the time) and even Ophelia had found herself tripping up, miscounting the number of children she's had. It had been an awful time for all of them, like something at the tip of their tongues that just wouldn't come.
Inside is a pearl bracelet on a silver chain. Lifting it up and pressing it against her necklace, Ophelia confirms something: they match. She wonders how long the kids had had this planned for.
"Thank you, Lucette. I hadn't thought you'd want to celebrate," Ophelia pulls the bracelet onto her right hand. Her first Mother's Day with her newest child.

He only had the faded memories of her calloused hands, grinding the spice in a mortar before mixing it in the pot of milk tea. Kaeya couldn't conjure up an image of what she looked like back then. Couldn't remember what she sounded like. Couldn't remember what her kisses and hugs felt like.

Kaeya covered his growing grin but was too late as he saw the familiar glint in his amma's eyes that would often be found in his whenever he made a joke or was in a teasing mood. His amma stroked her chin in thought, almost melodramatically thinking as she watched his reaction, "But if my Kaeya drinks it. Then I'll drink it."

He always cries at this part. If he were stronger, of mind body or heart, he might try to compose a piece to accompany this. Or simply sing along in harmony. The best he can manage is a weak hum.
Could things have turned out differently, if he’d heard this sooner? Were they truly so doomed that a song like this, which shone with such hope, could not have saved them?
Somehow, he doesn’t think so. The only world in which he would not have walked towards her would be one where he had some premonition, enough foresight to know how it all turned out. Only her death could have kept him apart from her when their paths crossed, and their vastly separate worlds collided. Nothing else. Nothing less.

However guarded the radio hosts are about the music of their precious leader, they usually play one or two of Hyuna’s songs a day. Once, Luka was blessed with five. His days have become entirely devoted to this. Lying in bed, listening to the radio. Waiting for the ten or so minutes in which he can helplessly grasp onto what little of her remains. Her voice.
He will never again have her warmth, her touch, or her gaze. But at least there is still her voice.
The hours that pass in between are meaningless. His eyes are fancy platters as they bore into the wall. Flat, empty, matte gold. Pretty. And otherwise useless.

Till thinks of Ivan, keeping so many parts of himself a secret for so many years. Maybe he was trying to protect himself. Not just from rejection, but from the segyein. If they had been closer, would Urak and Unsha have used it against them?
He was the kind of person to think about that stuff, wasn’t he?
“I hope so.”
He desperately hopes that between the bits and pieces of his identity Ivan doled out to Mizi, Sua, and Till himself. Between the parts of him they each got to know. If you put all those parts together, that Ivan was known in his entirety amongst them all.

There was something categorically off about him.
He knew it. Most people knew it, in fact. At least he thought they did. Deep down in their chests, something must have told them that there was something wrong with him. Sometimes, spotting the odd one out wasn’t a matter of knowing but feeling. It was old instinct driven by the days of hunting-gathering, the kind that deer had when approaching a still lake of water. They couldn’t see the brain-eating amoeba that lurked beneath the surface, but they knew instinctively it was there. Sometimes, living things could just sense when something was wrong.
There is something wrong in Ivan. He thinks so, at least. Hyuna disagrees.

Killua is slowly falling for Gon, but Illumi, Killua’s brother, is not happy about it. He believes the way Killua looks at Gon is harmful to the Zoldyck family’s reputation. Illumi will do anything, even at the cost of Gon’s life, to separate the two. However, Killua is determined to protect Gon at all costs and won’t let that happen.

It’s all so domestic, much more than Stone has ever dared to dream his life could be. Ivo and Shadow flicking flour at each other when they think he isn’t looking, the radio blasting some advertisement about hair growth supplements, the sun setting outside, the kitchen warm from the preheating oven, all of it sets the sort of scene you’d expect to find a normal family in. And although they’re far from normal, Stone is beginning to think that family might be the best word to describe them.
“You fired me, remember?” Stone grins.
“Are you ever gonna let that go?” Robotnik groans. “I already said I’m sorry and everything.”
“I know,” says Stone, leaning over to give him a reassuring kiss. “I just hope that maybe it helps you to know for certain I’m not here because I have to be. I’m off the job now. It’s my choice to be with you.”
