Summary
While visiting the library on Sensei’s orders, Lloyd makes conversation with a student, Chen Duan, and, before he leaves, he writes his number on the boy's arm as a joke. Chen unexpectedly calls him a few days later and asks if they want to study together. Chen seems to have mistaken Lloyd for a student, and Lloyd doesn’t bother to correct him, as it gives him a chance at a normal life. Over time, they become best friends, but Lloyd is having a hard time trying to keep his true identity a secret, and he knows that one day, he’ll have to tell Chen the truth.

“Did daozhang think he could come here, flash his enchanted eyes, and pull one over on the Ghost King?” Hua Cheng coos.
Xie Lian’s teeth begin to chatter. “My enchanted…my…aha—”
“I have never seen a performance quite like it in all my long years. Daozhang must be very experienced in getting his way just by fluttering his long lashes. But is he truly foolish enough to believe this act will work on me? Does he think I will fall for his tricks?”

Summary
