Aether buries his face on Xiao’s shoulder. Inhaling. Exhaling. Deflates. His hold is tight around Xiao.
“I’m back,” Aether whispers.
Xiao closes his eyes, burying his face in Aether’s golden hair. Xiao holds on just as tight, one hand between Aether’s scapulae and the other a band around his waist. Xiao breathes in moonlight and sweat, the slight spiciness of Aether’s scent underneath everything.
“Welcome home, traveler,” he whispers.

Lighter is so indulgent, Wise began considering the possibility of the man being into him. Even if it seemed like such a funny idea at first, considering how Lighter didn’t have a dearth of dating options, it was difficult not to look too deeply when Wise was often on the receiving end of such sweetness.
But those thoughts had only been intended to be a silly bit of entertainment for himself. Nothing to take seriously, and certainly nothing to presume as true in any way whatsoever.
Then Lighter starts doing things.
Lighter is doing his very best to court Wise. Wise is very gradually figuring this out.

"How did it get there?" Wise questioned aloud. "It wasn't there before." He traced his fingertips along the edge of the rose petals, as if he were manually mapping out routes on the soft, supple surface like he would a Carrot. He looked over at the other customers, but they all their backs were turned to him, either perusing the shelves or talking with their companions. "Did you see anything?" He turned back to Lighter.
Lighter opened his mouth but after a few seconds, snapped his jaw shut. "Don't think I did, no." He shrugged.
"But why?" Wise stared at the rose, as if it could tell him exactly who placed it next to him.
Once again, Lighter shrugged, but something sparkled in his verdant green eyes as he tilted his head to look directly at Wise, his sunglasses slipping a fraction off his nose.
"Maybe someone just really likes you," Lighter grinned, flashing his canines.

And maybe he was too exhausted to think properly. Or his brain was too hazy from being rudely roused awake from a half-sleeping state. Or maybe he’s just so damn tired of Lighter running away that he didn’t waste any time to swing his leg over and straddle the man.
Below him, Lighter went deathly still.
Took every escape route out of the man, and they would have no choice but to stay.
“Now, Lighter,” Wise began with a smile. “Do you think I haven’t noticed all those occasions you hugged me was only when I’m synced with Eous?”
Lighter’s hands on his waist twitched. Wise hoped he’s not going to throw him on reflex and dash away despite the locked door.
He didn't want to resort to the ropes he hid underneath his bed.
“So, why do you refuse to hug me directly?”
[Or: Lighter keeps hugging (read: be as physically close as possible) Wise when he’s in Eous form but can’t seem to do so in person.]

He bites the bait so hard that Lighter falters when he feels that smaller hand tangling with his own, twining their fingers together in a blatant show of intimacy. Wise even leans into him, his back pressing against Lighter’s chest, as he tells Billy with a smile,
“Sorry to say this, Billy, but Lighter’s right. I promised him a special service today, since he asked for a reward last time we talked.”
Wise prepares something "more special" for Lighter, as promised.

“Could you scent me,” Wise repeats, smiling awkwardly. Lighter doesn’t look offended as much as he does just look surprised, which is…a good thing, he supposes. Better than outright disgust, at least—not that he’d ever expected Lighter to be that kind of guy. “Please?”
Wise realizes he's experiencing pre-heat, and decides it's a smart decision to ask Lighter to scent him given Belle's absence. They're friends, after all; what's a small favor like this to their many months of friendship?

Summary
To boost the Chrysos Heirs’ popularity, Caelus suggests a themed photoshoot, with Phainon chosen as the first model. However, only Mydei doesn’t get to see his attire until the day of the shoot.
When Mydei arrives carrying the pomegranate juice and the fig wood cane, he finds Phainon sitting on the coffin-shaped prop like a divine offering: snow-white hair trails down his back, adorned with gold and purple, and a chiton clings onto him, barely covering his torso. One bent leg reveals an unfair amount of thigh.
The sight leaves him breathless… and strangely irritated.
One thing leads to another, and Mydei accidentally trips, spilling the juice all over Phainon. Phainon slips, and they end up tumbling into the coffin. Then, the door creaks open.
Mydei panics. He shoves Phainon to the side, slips in behind him, and closes the lid shut.
Locked inside together, they’re pressed close in the tight, dark space. The heat between them is unbearable, and every movement ignites a tension they neither expected – nor can deny.
