Fortunately, his friends (aka, the kamaboko squad) came to him, instead of him to them, and he has them and his family every step of the way into this unfamiliar territory.
And, for someone as obsessed with love as Zenitsu is, he really is a fool for not being able to see that his two closest friends like him.

Grian’s hopelessly in love with his coworker and fellow architecture professor—Scar. He knows nothing's going to come from it, but when he finds out Scar’s got a thing for his vigilante alter-ego, Grian can’t help but use that to his advantage.
Hotguy is infatuated with his vigilante pseudo–nemesis, but Cuteguy keeps blocking his advances and he isn’t anywhere close to getting through to the man. When his civilian coworker Grian winds up in the hospital for something he should have been able to prevent, he can't stop himself from falling for the man.

In which, Grian and Scar both have secret identities, ones an illegal vigilante—the other the city's biggest hero. They ‘fight’ all night long and both go home to civilian jobs, where they unknowingly meet as coworkers. There's a big messy love square with a few breakups and more than a few stolen kisses. -

The Double Life event ends and the players are returned to their original homes as they always are after the games conclusions, reeling and shakily picking up the pieces of themselves after the experience. Yet life can't really seem to go on. A very important piece of their lives, especially the Hermit's lives, is missing. Why the hell is taking Pearl so long to come back?
Back in the Double life server, inside of the ever looming inpenetrable dome, a red-hooded figure remains.Aka: Pearl somehow remains alive in the Double Life server even after Scott has died. It is up to Grian, Scott, and a few other volunteering hermits to go back to the place of their nightmares to rescure her. But who they find is not the same person they left.
