Izuku had shown up on the first day of school with his head down low, fake glasses he didn’t need perched on his nose to hopefully differentiate himself from the terrible middle school photo that’s been going around, and his grip on his backpack straps so tight his fingers had been going numb.
But not a single person had so much as glanced his way.
All along the hallways as Izuku makes his way to his new classroom he can hear mutterings and whisperings but they aren’t directed at him, he can tell that from the tone alone.
No, all of them are commenting on something else, something even more newsworthy than Midoriya Izuku, First and Only Quirkless Student at UA.
Now all anyone can seem to talk about is the fact that Endeavor’s youngest son had flunked both the recommendation exam, and then also the standard hero course exam, landing Todoroki Shouto, the apparent strongest of Endeavor’s children, in the General Education department of this year.
