Summary
In an attempt to help the hotel, Charlie places them all in danger at the hands of a very specific threat, despite the desperate attempts of Husk, Niffty and Alastor to ward her away from calamity. What the media mogul never suspected, however, was the lengths to which her majesty would go to keep her newfound family safe after such a blunder.
Vox still manages to get his prize, in the end, and the fallout leaves one particular Overlord at the mercy of care, affection and compassion in a way that horrifies him to his core.

Or: Lucifer frees Alastor from his self-made cage. That doesn’t exactly fix everything.

Summary
A moment of carelessness ruptures Lucifer's building relationship with Charlie as he gets caught being affectionate with Alastor. Made to leave the hotel at Charlie's behest, ancient wounds are reopened. Struggling with what this means for his future with his loved ones, Lucifer hides away as he is engulfed with the hellfire of his own emotions.
This is how Alastor finds him, running away in fear of hurting anyone. Charging through the flames to help his petit flamme is not a question of if, but how fast.

When the tapping didn’t stop, Pentious’s tongue flicked out in annoyance, and he dragged his attention from his project to the foyer. His glower became a confused head-tilt as the small sinner paced anxiously back and forth, wringing her hands together.
