Harry woke with a deep shudder—a breath so deep he felt the unused corners of his spongey lungs reinflate with force. He looked down at his chest where a weight rested, only to get an eyeful of Hermione’s curls as she stared at him with her mouth open, face puffy from crying. Ron was just visible over her with a look of dawning horror.
“What the fuck,” Harry ground out, letting his head drop back down to the ground as Hermione began thumping her fists on his chest in anger, right over the wet patches her tears had left on him, cursing him out.

When Harry accidentally kills himself, the trio promptly realise he's become something more after the war. Something to do with the Deathly Hallows lined nicely on his bookshelf. Hermione does what she does best: she plans. Until Alice begins having visions of a green-eyed teenager in all sorts of compromising positions with Edward. Calanthe had been taken by Rubeus Hagrid and placed on Four Privet Drive by Albus Dumbledore. It was Albus's hope that Calanthe would be taken in by Vernon and Petunia Durlsey, but unknown to him, a famous vampire, Klaus Mikaelson, had stumbled upon the loud crying baby, and, doing something he promised he would never do again, he took her in, caring for her and becoming her father. This started a chain of events. Calanthe Potter would not step into Hogwarts weak and scared, but strong, confident, and with an affinity for violence and control. She wouldn't be a lion, but a vicious snake with venomous poison.

What I wanted to write was a quick one-shot that explored the idea of Harry being the biological son of Voldemort, only Voldemort doesn't know he has a son and is also as evil as ever. Meanwhile, Harry is just a charismatic kid with a snake and ridiculously powerful magic.
It turned into a series rewrite.
Here's book two.
Features: a Harry Potter making a ridiculous amount of terrible decisions; an exhausted Remus Lupin that did NOT sign up for this but by god will he be there for Harry anyways; a Severus Snape who didn't actually think this year could be worse then last year and is proven wrong in a big way; Dumbledore being awful; and Harry's snake Merlin, who just wants to play quidditch ONE TIME.

Summary
Felix had known the Heelshires for almost six years now. He kept up the grounds, made sure no one (that didn't belong) got in, and even watched after the doll they considered their son on occasion.
He also knew about the thing in the walls.
No one wanted to believe him, choosing to instead call him superstitious or paranoid, but he knew it was there. Even so, he was just as surprised as everyone else when it finally came out.
