Aiden was laying on the couch, his head resting against a comfy pillow. Just then, he hears the front door open and footsteps following soon after. He looks up to see Tom walk into the living room.
"Hey, babe! How was work?"
Rather than giving him a verbal response, Tom walked over and laid down, laying his head on top of Aiden's chest and tucking his head underneath his chin.
Aiden picks up on this behavior immediately. He's only ever seen Tom act like this if he was having a rough day.
Or, Tom has a bad day at work after a lady calls his scars ugly and Aiden takes care of him in more ways than one! 😋

James was humming to himself with his AirPods in his ears as he cleans off a few dishes that are in the sink. He's so occupied that he doesn't even hear the sound of the front door opening.
A moment later, he feels his husband's arms wrap around his waist from behind. He was startled at first but relaxes once he realizes who it is. He pauses his music and takes his earbuds out.
"Jake, amor. You startled me. I didn't even hear you come in." He lets out a chuckle. "How are you? How was your day at work. Was it-?"
A muffled sob could be heard coming from the blue haired man.
(Or, I'm projecting my recent depression episode onto Jake because I needed to let some emotions out and writing is the only way I know how to best do that in a healthy way)
