Summary
J always chose the winning side, not necessarily the morally right one. It was something she hated, but to keep her best friend alive, she needed to survive. So when the fight against two traitors and a purple toaster goes south, she has to question her choices.
She doesn’t have long, though, as the Solvers' final gambit takes them all down with it. Now reborn in a new world, the leader of the best-performing disassembly drone squad decides to make a new choice, to live how her friend would have always wanted her to.

Summary
In the original timeline, two caged hunters came to blows, unravelling the mystery until their conflict left only one standing. In other timelines, a crueller world forced them to become monsters sooner, while others allowed them to find comfort in each other. In this timeline, comfort and cruelty clash as a third is pulled in, the three becoming monsters to protect each other from the nightmares of an undead past and an uncertain future.
