  Ever since picking up the journal from a pawn shop on a whim so many years ago, he had only ever written for himself, the letter address at the beginning merely a placeholder for him to write the days' events whenever he felt like it. But as the addresses evolved from "Dear Miss Melanie"s and "Hey Livio"s to "Yo Spikey", "Sup Needle-noggin", and on certain occasions a simple "Tongari.", Wolfwood's words delved deeper into his own mind, his thoughts a flurry of things he wanted him to hear, wanted so badly to tell him but never truly could. And now that Vash knew he belonged to the Eye of Michael, he couldn't ever be able to tell him.
