Summary
Vergil had research to do in Fortuna, tomes to dig up, power to obtain. Too bad his Fortuna Library contact had happened to, in the intervening years, have a baby, lose custody of said baby, be disowned, set a bush on fire, and vanish.
Such gossip would have been of very little concern to him, had the timing of said baby's conception not coincided with their, ahem, short yet intense acquaintance. The child is probably not his, but. He'll track it down. Just. Just to make sure.
He is certainly keeping his wits and not freaking out at all.

Summary
It's been five years since the summoning of Temen Ni Gru, and Vergil finally deigns to contact Dante... in his professional capacity as a Devil Hunter, password and all.
Something is afoot on the Isle of Fortuna, and Vergil, for whatever reason, cares enough to get the both of them involved. He seems changed, but his intentions remain unclear and his decisions, obtuse; he's playing his cards too close to his chest for Dante to figure out his game.
One thing at least is clear-- whatever Vergil has done, and whatever Vergil is doing, it's stupid, reckless, and has endangered the entire population of a small isolated country. In other words: business as usual.
