There is no chance that Lassie is going to let this go without a fight. They didn’t spend all this time finding the perfect house just to be bullied into compliance by a bunch of sad little meddlers with nothing better to do than try and take away all of Shawn’s joy.
With Lassie now running a stakeout from their window, Shawn is going to have to resort to desperate measures if he is to successfully distract him and avoid starting their lives here by making enemies out of everyone they live near. Especially after the incident with the basket of muffins.

Childhood friends Colin and Penelope teach in classrooms across the hall from one another. Penelope, in her fourth year of teaching English, shows first-year-teacher Colin the ropes of their now shared profession. As they spend more time together throughout the term, the pair come to see one another in a new light, and the lines between friendship and something more begin to blur.

After years of marriage, two kidds, Penelope leaves Colin while he is on assignment. She takes refuge with Eloise and has to pick up the broken pieces of her life, while also raising two kids. Colin is a travel writer, who is rarely home and Penelope is very tired of always being alone.
After six months of not seeing each other, they see each other again at a work Christmas party. The reunion is bumpy and messy. So is the rest of the Xmas holiday season.
This won't be an extremely long fic like my last one. I am aiming at around ten chapters max, maybe less! I hope you like it and I hope it gets you in the mood for xmas!
