The desert outside of Oz feels like it could go on forever.
But of course, Elphaba would say later, that didn’t make any sense. Eventually, though seemingly longer than any account either of them had ever heard would state, they begin encountering settlements with people from the land known as Ev.
Ev isn’t Oz, and that’s really for the better, but it means that Elphaba and Fiyero have to adjust to so many things being different, and not just the obvious.
