Summary
They came to a small plateau that was made of a stone platform, a single pedestal in the center, and Din stared at it for a long moment. The child began to squirm in his arms and it drew Din away from any hesitant thoughts. He walked forward and placed the child on the pedestal, giving him a gentle caress, before he backed away.
The kid turned to stare at him with big eyes. “Batu?” he trilled, tilting his head to the side. “Baba?”
“Go on,” Din said. “You know what to do.”
