Why didn’t she press that damn button? For the rest of the day, Zooble had stared daggers into the back of her skull only really speaking with Gangle who didn’t bother interacting with her either. Kinger had clearly forgotten what occurred multiple times since, though he picked up on the tension amongst the group and kept his comments minimal. Ragatha, on the other hand, wouldn’t leave her side. She held her hand on the walk back, sat beside her when they returned to the beach, hugged her, comforted her, whispered reassurances to her - treated her as if she was something fragile. The creases under her eyes and how she had spoken to her…
