“Please,” Armand is sobbing, “please, I’ll do anything, I’ll do— Master, Maestro! Please, I’ll do anything you want, forever—”
“Babe, no.”
“Quiet, Amadeo,” Marius says, and that gives Daniel one hell of a second wind.
“His name,” he says, because those will probably be his last words, and this seems like a worthy choice, “is not Amadeo. You asshole.”
And he spits on Marius, for good measure. Except he’s really banged up and weak, and it doesn’t even reach the guy’s shiny fucking shoes. Frankly, most of it lands on Daniel’s own lap. Oh well. He tried. Hopefully, when Armand tells the story — and he will live to tell it — he’ll make it more badass. He’s good at that: manipulating the narrative. He’ll tell Daniel’s story well.
Or: the working title of this fic was "Armand snuffs Marius hell yeah" -- bon apple tea, lads.

“No,” Armand grits the word out that he’s never been allowed to say- past the bile, the humiliation- and wriggles out of Louis’ lap. “Stop.”
He scrabbles to get away, shaking like some sick little thing, nearly falling off the bed in his haste to escape.
“Love?” Lestat calls behind him, voice uncharacteristically gentle. “Armand?”
But saying those two words- stop, no- had sucked all the strength out of him. Without replying, he staggers toward the bathroom, the breath caught in his throat.
He slams the door shut and immediately slumps to the floor.

.aka bad memories come back to Armand during sex with Louis and Lestat. Daniel comes to the rescue.

Summary
Crowding him up against the wall, Charles keeps a nice tight hold of his jacket. Edwin's hands wrap around Charles', playing at trying to free himself but actually holding on, keeping them there.
"You're not going anywhere." Charles makes the next kiss hard and demanding, and it does the trick. Charles can feel it, like springing a lock, that magic moment when they get Edwin through the obstacle course in his head, built up of all the conditioning the Edwardian era was able to pack into his short life and all the long years of repression after.
"What the fuck," says Crystal.

Charles watched his eyes drop to where he was still holding on to his arm, probably curious on why Charles hadn’t let go yet. So was Charles to be honest. But he didn’t want to let go. Not yet.

Charles isn’t a stranger to having brilliant ideas, he has them quite often if you ask him, maybe slightly less often if you ask Crystal, but Edwin would probably agree with him.
However this one might just be his best one yet.
“I’ve given your confession some real thought, yeah? So… how about we give trying to date a go?” asks Charles.
After a few beats too long, Edwin is finally able to speak.
“Thank you, Charles, but that won’t be necessary,” answers Edwin tightly and doesn’t offer anything else.

OR: In order to figure out his feelings Charles asks Edwin to date him, but is promptly refused. When an unexpected turn of events during a case leaves Edwin injured, Charles’ struggles with his feelings have to be put on the back burner. Unless he can somehow multitask…

Charles tried to pay attention, because Edwin was really upset, and Charles still didn’t understand why, and it seemed like this might be important. It was just, they’d been at this for a while, and Edwin kept asking him the same questions and not leaving him time to answer, so. His mind may have wandered a bit to how he would reinforce the next cricket bat.
His attention snapped back to the present when Edwin said, “This can’t happen. You can’t risk this, I can’t be the reason you risk it. You have to move on.”
“Move on?” Charles repeated blankly. “Move on from what?”
“From here, Charles!” Edwin shouted, suddenly furious again, suddenly shouting even though his eyes were filled with tears. “You have to go with Death! You have to leave!”
“I don’t want to go with Her,” Charles said, nonplussed.
“Fine, that’s your business, but you can’t keep hanging around me!” Edwin snapped.
Charles’ world suddenly tilted on its axis, sending everything askew. “I can’t?” he asked, his voice small, his heart wide open and exposed.Series

And Charles doesn’t notice that Edwin doesn't touch him anymore, maybe for no other reason than that he doesn’t want to, because doing so hurts, but then there’s a night when Edwin walks past him and he raises his hand like he wants to brush it against Charles’ arm – his metaphorical heartbeat picks up at that, like Charles has been waiting for this even more than he realised – but then, a second before his hand connects, Edwin pulls it back like he’s been burnt.
And that, well. That hurts too.
Edwin stops touching Charles; Charles doesn't deal well with it.

Julian’s mother stood up. She claimed she was prepared to stop the fae, to protect her baby, but in Julian’s darkest moments he doubted this part of the story. His mother loved him, of that he had no doubt, but she had been young and weary, and even years later, she couldn’t quite get the twinge of exhaustion out of her eyes when she recalled Julian’s infancy. Even if she had been keen on protecting him, the fae was too close, too fast, too set on his plan.
“A gift, for the new mother,” the fae continued. He leaned a hand in to stroke Julian’s cheek. “I give you the gift of obedience.”
As a baby, Jaskier was visited by a fae, who gifted Jaskier's mother with Jaskier's obedience. As Jaskier grew older, the "gift" became more of a curse.

Summary
The witchers of Kaer Morhen have never been comfortable with gentle touches. It just isn't who they are. But when Geralt arrives to spend the winter with his brothers looking more relaxed than any of them have felt in years, all due to the affection of a human bard, Lambert and Eskel grow curious. They wonder what it would be like to be touched or held without fear.
When Lambert runs into Jaskier in a small town in Redania, it's the safest he's felt in years. He and his brothers need touch and kindness more than they're willing to admit, and all Jaskier wants it to help , if only the witchers would let him.
Geralt and Jaskier are together, all the other relationships are platonic with a good helping of touch-starvation on the side.

Summary
Jaskier was taut with tension, walking up the stairs of the inn to his and Geralt’s shared room like a man on the way to the gallows. He wanted to strum at his lute to calm his nerves, but he had the feeling that wouldn’t be well received. Behind him, Geralt loomed, matching his pace. Jaskier felt distinctly hunted, like a sad, well-dressed, very talented mouse about to be eaten by a massive, angry, onion-smelling wolf, and not even in a sexy way.
It was possible his metaphors weren’t up to his usual standards, but in his defense, he was pretty sure he was about to be painfully disemboweled, and it was damn near impossible to get blood out of his doublets.
