The anger was overwhelming. After dealing with stupid people all day, China had finally come home, expecting to be able to relax, but now he had to deal with this insulting intruder and he just… just…!
He just didn’t have the energy anymore.
China let out a sigh, his posture slumping. Russia looked up, visibly surprised. Out of all things, he didn’t seem to have expected the usually assertive country to fold over like this, literally. China raised his head to stare at the ceiling blankly, silently asking God (if he existed… religious practices change too much for him to keep up) for a break. He then lowered his head to stare at Russia for a moment. He didn’t even have the energy to truly appreciate the look of astonishment on the younger’s face.
“You want to stay? Then fine. Stay. I don’t have the energy to care…” China said.

Russia broke into China's house again, but China isn't in the mood to exert the energy needed to get him to leave.

“I need to get back to work…” he said, “Sweden, I-”
But, before he could finish the sentence, Finland was forced to lay back down. He closed his eyes and let out a gasp as his back hit the mattress again, but it was slightly more forceful this time. He opened his eyes slightly to see Sweden looming over him, one hand firmly gripping his shoulder. Finland was like a pinned bug to a wall; no amount of squirming would allow him to free himself from the other’s grasp. He swallowed and his eyes widened slightly.
“You need to sleep for a while,” Sweden said, his voice firm.

“Woah… I’m talking to a big-shot politics guy from the UK? You don’t seem like it,” Henry smiled good-naturedly. England narrowed his eyes.
“Oi,” the blonde country frowned, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Henry held up his hands in a placating gesture, “I didn’t mean anything bad by it! It’s just… usually politics guys are so old and decrepit-”
England took a sip of his drink and was just thinking about how he was actually centuries old, but the thought was interrupted as Henry continued speaking:
“But you’re hot and sexy.”

“Hey!!” a voice called out from a few people ahead of the line. Poe felt his heart leap in his chest. That voice… he knew that voice all too well.
“Ranpo!?” He exclaimed in disbelief. Ahead of him in line was none other than his rival, Ranpo. The detective was leaning out of the line, waving his arms as if his shouting wasn’t enough to grab Poe’s attention. Even Karl gave a little chirp of surprise at the sight of him.

Or, Poe is going to a midnight release for a book he's been waiting for, and finds someone else there.

One of the doors is opened, a figure stepping out with a cigarette in hand, but it’s quickly discarded when the detective catches sight of them. “Ranpo-san! And the American, too. Good, good, thank you for coming.”
“Minoura! Where’s my crime scene? Did they really think a ghost was stealing their stuff? Bah, people are so stupid, what would a ghost do with jewelry?”
“They think a ghost is the culprit?” Poe wonders, frowning.
“Stupid,” Ranpo agrees.
“Did you both get it all out of your systems?” Minoura sighs, “let’s talk inside. Just– the wife is a little shaken with everything that’s going on, so.”
“Of course, we won’t comment on how foolish that conclusion was,” Poe nods solemnly, “people can be excused some absurdities in the throes of emotion, I believe.”
“No promises,” Ranpo pushes past them, cheerfully slipping inside.

'It started with a notebook'
Criminology major, Edogawa Ranpo is about to start his second year at Keio university when he finds a notebook on a table at his father's coffee shop. Meanwhile, the international student, Edgar Allan Poe, finds his second year may just be bearable when the boy sitting next to him demands he writes another book. Therefore, it's a shame when Poe finds himself stupid enough to fall in love and risk loosing the first friend he has in this place.
