Huh. What a fascinating take, not only on Bella's story, but also on the philosophy of what it means to have agency, what it means to be human in a world that can offer near immortality. Really well written settings, and fascinating twists of the narrative. It does end on an open note, not quite the same place as canon, but it's also settled on this Bella's growth. One of the most interesting parts was the slow transition of the inserted character into "Bella", and the continued discourse on what a soul can carry over.

Mystical detective work is still detective work; this fic is an interesting change up to the family and team dynamics of five-0. It was probably written over a fair length of time as sometimes the dialogue and settings seemed a little recycled, but over all, it has the emotions and the action that go into a great reinvention of this universe. The descriptions tend to be on the more mellow end of thing's, but no worries, Danny is still a firecracker when he needs to be.
