Yes he may be not so cruel sometimes but the way the both of us always fight physically and argue like an animal, even at the smallest things. but lately, whenever we fight, i've noticed that his cheeks are flushed.
The queen, me, was definitely not expecting a cruel, neglect king to blush while crossing the path.

He caught her by the waist when the Queen almost tripped in front of the guards as they passed through the door of their chambers. Cardan had to caught a laugh as well. Seeing his wife drunk was as rare as seeing dragons.
He kept his grip on her waist as he closed the doors to the royal chambers, and what a surprise it was when Jude threw herself on top of him, knocking them both to the floor.
"Tell me you love me. Tell me I'm the only woman in the world you desire."

AU, what if Cardan's letters where recieved by Jude?
Cardan sighed. He was falling apart. All this distance from Jude exhausted him. He was way past his breaking point, and he just wanted his wife.
He was in the middle of writing another letter to Jude, begging her to reply just once. What good is one more letter anyways? He crumpled this one and stared at his wine glass.
It's been months of utter silence, surely she must have received his letters by now. He thought himself so clever when uttering those wretched words that drove them apart.
Until and unless she is pardoned by the crown, let her not stop one foot in Faerie or forfeit her life.
