Summary
The seas have always been home to the depraved and gold hungry. Those that roam the waters like wolves. They paled in comparison to the driven cruelty and bloodlust of the dreaded Draugr. The white flag means nothing to the Devil's Grin or its mad captain. No one lives once its colors are struck. The Draugr scours the seas in search of something known only to himself.
Young Pugsley Addams, son of Governor Addams, had heard of the fearsome pirate, had developed an interest in the stories, but thought nothing of it. After all, whatever the man, if that's what he was, was searching for it wasn't wealth. He felt no apprehension about sailing to meet the suitor his grandmother had found for him, just a sense of boredom and annoyance. That would change as night fell.

Pugsley and Pubert Addams are all that remain of their branch of the Addams family. To spare them from being separated and the foster system they are taken in by the Sinclair's, but grief is a slow process and Esther Sinclair doesn't have the patience for a grieving boy and his fire breathing brother.
A year after taking them in she forces him back to school. He comes upon a strange tree being used as a grave. As a way of coping, he talks to the boy buried in it and cares for the grave. One night after a party goes wrong, he stumbles his way back to Nevermore, shocking the ground of the Skull tree and unknowingly bringing its occupant back from the dead.
The corpse follows him and falls head over heels. Pugsley cares for him and in return is protected. Bodies begin to pile up and the police start closing in. What's a boy to do? Can he put down the monster he made or is one more loss too much to bear?

Summary
Pugsley finds out his "Dead" soulmate is his pet zombie, and Isaac is alive(?) again, only to find 30 years have past. And his Soulmark is no longer grey and translucent, but colorful and perfectly visible. All because of a younger boy. An Addams no less. Problems ensue due to past explosions, lost abilities. Pugsley becomes an Isaac magnet and can't get rid of him. Isaac has issues, Pugsley tries to help in more ways then one.
Or

Summary
“Far beneath the roots of the skull tree lies the undying, eternal, clockwork king. Tell him your wishes, the ones you don't dare speak out loud, and he will grant them. But take care, for he does not give freely. The price for a wish may be higher than you are willing to pay, but pay you will, make no mistake. The king always gets his way.”
Pugsley had heard the stories and the warnings and ignored them, seeking out the tree and its supposed king out of loneliness and curiosity. He talks, and unbeknownst to him the king listens and falls head over heels.
One night, in a burst of despair and anger Pugsley makes a wish. The king grants it and the clock starts counting down for Pugsley to make things right.
