Peridot had everything she ever wanted. A degree, A good paying office job, and an apartment all to herself. Everything should feel compete but she still finds herself reminiscing about her home town, unable to truly feel at home in the city. She takes her meds and sucks it up, falling into a dull but comfortable routine. When given an opportunity to go back to Beach City for a week in the summer, she takes it. It is during this week, Peridot stumbles upon a new face amongst the towns people. A chance meeting with a girl who has the power to change everything Peridot thought she wanted out of life.

Summary
Chisato and Takina have always been close. Ever since their parents met face to face, they had no choice but to engage in a friendship, even after being polar opposites. Chisato, the overly energetic, beaming rich girl and Takina the suppressed, serene quiet girl.
Every summer, both of their families meet in Chisato's parents's beach house where they have shared fond memories. Family game night, beach parties, you name it.
