Three years have passed since Palpatine has defeated and killed Rey and Kylo Ren in the Battle of Exegol, and established himself as Emperor over the Core of the Galaxy. Now Rose and Poe have revived the Resistance to fight against the oppressive regime of the Final Order. Although their chances of success are slim, they have launched a mission to free several of their allies from imprisonment, when they meet the familiar face of a man they thought dead. Will he help them turn the tides against the Emperor or will he once again fight them as their embittered enemy?

I do not care about canon. I have not read any of the books or comics and I will never bother to do so. If you discover discrepancies, you may quietly seethe over them, because I literally do not care. I write what I want.

Summary
Armitage Hux has been called all manner of terrible things - a tyrant, a coward, a bastard, a rat - and he is all of those things and worse, but above all else, he is a survivor. All his life, he has done what was necessary to protect himself and the First Order.
After a mission gone wrong, Hux finds himself imprisoned on an ice planet with none other than Poe Dameron as his cellmate. This time, he must accept, survival means working with his nemesis.
As the two plot their escape, and in the weeks that follow it, the General is forced to confront the reality of the cruel Galaxy that created him, and the even crueler one that he has created. After a lifetime of fighting to prove he is strong enough to survive, Armitage Hux realizes that the best and bravest thing he’ll ever do is die.
He doesn’t turn for Poe Dameron, but he never could have done it without him. -

Unapologetic RomCom trashfic where instead of being freed by Finn during his own escape from the First Order, Poe takes Hux hostage and escapes the Finalizer with him in a TIE fighter which crashes on the way to D’Qar leaving them stranded on a marshy, seemingly uninhabited planet without any hope of quick rescue by either side.
