Summary
Mike fell. Only this time it wasn't due to his poor balance, but rather bumping into someone passing him. He hadn't lifted his head; he didn't want them to see his cheekbones and worn-in eyes.
"Sorry", he replies quietly as he tries to stand up.
He sees the stranger offer their hand. A very familiar hand. A hand he's seen wrapped around a pencil, sketching during sleepovers late into the night. A hand he hasn't seen for years. Will. He looks up, and there's a halo of light from his William. He's standing right in front of the sun, just right so light flows out from behind him.
Will looked like an angel ready to take him from the hell of Hawkins.
Or: Mike's prediction in episode 8 came true, but it isn't as happy as he thought he'd be. Everyone has left except him, now a failed writer Mike struggles with his future. So what happens when his best friend Will comes back to Hawkins?
