Maverick invites Bradley to visit him in the Mojave desert sometime after the mission. Bradley, knowing full well that he is infatuated with Maverick - maybe always has been? - and should probably decline, accepts the invitation.
When he arrives, Maverick's life isn't what Bradley had imagined. Poor internet, incessant heat, lukewarm beers, sure, he'd imagined that part - but that Maverick had an unexpected, four-legged companion in the shape of a Golden Retriever? Bradley had never expected that.
Or: the one where a dog cockblocks Bradley. Multiple times.
