He had asked the night nanny about the content of Edgeworth’s recurring nightmare in the hope that learning the boy’s fears would grant him a new weapon, but this was a potential security risk of the highest degree. What did Miles Edgeworth know?
(That night, he finds out exactly what Edgeworth knows… as well as what Edgeworth thinks he knows. Manfred gains a better new weapon than he could ever have anticipated, and over the years, he uses it to do plenty of damage.)

“Hey,” Gregory said in a voice just above a whisper. Moving slowly so as not to startle Miles, he sat down on the bed, and Miles sat up to scoot closer to him. “Bad dream?”
Finally looking up, Miles nodded, his eyes shining with tears.
“Come here.” Gregory opened his arms, and Miles leaned against him, wrapping his arms tightly around Gregory’s waist and pressing his face into the fabric of Gregory’s nightshirt. Ignoring a twinge from his shoulder, Gregory reciprocated the hug, holding Miles close and rubbing his back as he continued to sob.
(Gregory comforts Miles after a nightmare, protecting him as best he can while helping him understand what happened in the elevator two weeks prior.)

Summary
Before the DL-6 Incident was a court case. Before that court case, there was a problem in Kurain. How would the world change if Morgan Fey was the better channeller in the village, leaving Misty free to run away? And what would’ve happened if Gregory ran a different trial, with a different outcome?
As the new leader of the law firm after a tragedy, Miles Edgeworth encounters a spiky-haired spirit medium being wrongfully charged with murder. Blood feuds between families is more than he could bargain for, but he has to help somehow.
