Summary
Nigel wanted to run his fingers through Adam’s curls and soothe him. But instead, he saw himself raise the gun and level it at Adam’s head. He couldn't help but entertain the thought of what would happen if he could defy the pull of the trigger, if he could maybe surrender to those unbelievable blues.
As if a devious god had answered Nigel’s wishful thinking, and destiny refused to let him linger in possibility, a sharp blow struck the back of his head in the next heartbeat.
The ground tilted. His vision blurred as he fell forward, collapsing at Adam’s feet.
And as the darkness closed in, the last thing he saw was those terrified blue eyes finally meeting his own.

After a gunshot had carved its mark into his head, Nigel was struck once more while on a job. His memory shattered, and in the ruins of his mind, only Adam remained.

“Nice shirt, Stark.”
It’s Natasha, sounding strangely- smug, maybe?- for reasons Tony doesn’t much care to know.
“I know,” Tony says, not opening his eyes. He tilts his head back, lets out a satisfied sigh and rearranges himself on the chair. The sun climbs another inch of his abs when his shirt rides up with the motion.
Today’s a good day, Tony thinks contentedly, and continues sucking lazily on the popsicle.

Summary
Tony knew better than to play with alien toys. He really did. But there was just something so tempting about other-worldly objects. It turned out that he wasn't the only Tony Stark that felt that way. One explosion later, there's a brand new Tony in town. But there's something not quite right about this Tony and how he reacts to the team, the way he flinches away from Bucky or shakes when Steve picks up the shield or won't turn his back to Clint and Natasha.
It turns out that not every Tony Stark is as lucky as Tony, but damned if Tony, Steve and Bucky aren't going to fix that.
(or, the one where canon MCU Tony gets thrown into a fanon world and gets ALL THE LOVE from the fanon version of the team)
