During the great battle against The Crone, Kit gets shoved out of the way before a blast of evil magic can hit her. Confused and rattled, her head lifts in time to watch Jade take the hit instead, sending her through the portal and shattering her into a million pieces. She’s gone, it’s what everyone keeps telling her, but Kit heard her voice and isn’t willing to leave the Immemorial city without trying. The portal to the past is set up in a remote section of woods: the exact path Kit and Jade use to get to their sparring location. She warned everyone that going in would cause your past self to come out in your place, however, her precaution had one major oversight; Kit was zoning out the entire time.
