Kazuha laughs, his smile melting into something a bit more apologetic, but no less entertained. “Yes. A few guests from Liyue and Mondstadt — including the Traveler — and I solved the case a few days ago.”

Summary
Debates become arguments. Arguments become fights. Fights become something more when Kaveh goes overboard in his vices the longer he lives with Alhaitham. Soon, the Scribe's peace becomes far too interrupted for him to ignore the problem, making it his own to solve despite Kaveh's deliberate resistance.
Of course, far be it for him to realize he may have been the problem all along. And luckily, or perhaps unluckily, the rejection Kaveh expects only spites Alhaitham to prove him wrong further.

Kaveh has never despised his own body more than in this moment. His cheeks flush unbidden and he feels a warm tug in his chest at something that’s hardly a compliment.

Aether and Lumine had a few rules for traveling between worlds. They had to, in order to live as they did, always on the move, always adapting to even the most inhospitable of places. It kept them alive, their nature secret from the locals whenever they went, and it allowed them, for centuries, to go undisturbed to wherever they wished to.
This stay in Teyvat was far from one of their standard ones. At this point, their rules might as well be none existent given how many they had broken both accidentally and deliberately.
And now, standing on the Golden Apple Archipelago in front of an island made for her — made from her — she would break another of their rules. Soon, the others would find this place, they would find the secrets of who and what she is. And really, after seeing their deepest moments hidden in their own islands these past few days, who is she to deny their eyes from gazing into her life?
