Summary
On September first, a little black-haired boy with green eyes and a lightening bolt scar on his forehead enters Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the first time. Harry Potter is the Boy Who Lived, and everyone knows it, including one Severus Snape, who instantly loathes him. I just had to keep up this act, if you will, otherwise things would have gotten a lot worse." Harry had stopped staring at their conjoined hands once Malfoy started talking, he was pleading at Harry, begging him to believe him, and Harry did. Harry had no doubts about what he was saying, which could cause problems if this was all a ploy, but Harry didn't think it was.

Summary
AU where Severus Snape is tasked with retrieving Harry Potter from his relatives in the summer before the boy’s 5th year rather than the other Order members.
Note: According to cannon, the Dementor attack takes place on the 2nd of August, right after Harry's 15th birthday at the end of July, with his trial being placed on the 12th of August, 10 days later. In my story, the Dementor attack takes place on the 21st of July, and Harry's trial is the day after his 15th birthday, August 1st. I've done it this way purposefully, but wanted to include a note about it to avoid confusion.

Summary
After seven-year-old Harry Potter runs away from his relatives' home for the sixth time, Albus decides something drastic must happen. Instead of sending a friendly witch from family services like he had done before, he sends Severus Snape in hopes of scaring the boy into staying put. But when a storm interferes with plans, Severus realizes why Harry runs away and a change of plans ensues.
A response to a Potions and Snitches challenge: Runaway, by nnjj - A pre-Hogwarts Harry Potter is unhappy at his relatives' house and keeps running away. So far Dumbledore has sent Lupin or a nice witch from family services to retrieve him, but to no use. Stronger measures are needed for Harry to stay put and he decides to enlist Severus' services to scare the boy into staying put. Once Severus retrieves the boy they are forced to spend a certain amount of time together before it is possible to return him to Privet Drive. Will Severus notice that something is not right in the boy's home? What will Dumbledore do if his plan fails?
