The cupboard smelled of blood and dust. It was rotting into the floor boards. He was never allowed out of his cupboard anymore.
It had been two days since they’d last opened the door.
Four days since he’d been given even a sip of water and almost a week since food beyond the crackers he hid beneath the floorboards.
Two days since Vernon’s belt had opened up the long, raw gash down his back — the one that still hadn’t stopped bleeding properly as it split open with each turn on the cramped mattress.
Harry is going to be saved by unexpected allys, new friends and maybe just maybe he will be free from Dumbledores grasp before it destroys him.

Summary
Magical means failed to track the boy down, but Muggle means proved surprisingly successful. It seems whoever placed the child in this situation didn’t consider Muggles dangerous – very few of us do, after all. (And perhaps that was our gravest mistake, regarding young Mr. Potter.) But if a lone reporter can track the boy down so easily, then how easy would it be for a vengeful Dark witch or wizard to do the same?
For the Boy Who Lived, now the tender age of 10, is not training with Gringotts cursebreakers. He is not learning under the careful tutelage of Albus Dumbledore. He is not basking in the lap of luxury while training with masters of defense, and he is certainly not in good hands. No, Harry Potter is living with Muggles. Muggles who despise him.

Summary
It had started back when Harry was 8, and his aunt, tired of the school calling in and asking about Harry's over-large, ripped shirts and pants, had thrown a sewing kit at his chest and told him to to fix his clothing himself.
Then he finds a magazine titled "Punks Not Dead" on the street. Entranced and intrigued by it, he hides it in his backpack to read during breaktime, when he can be in the school's library without Dudley haunting him. Inspired by the pages within, Harry finds himself in alleyways and close to bars, picking up loose soda tabs and forgotten scraps of fabric and safety pins.
By the time he's 10, he spends more time outside and in school than anywhere close to the Dursely's home. It is then he finds a community of his own; a rag-tag group of teenagers living in a nearby LGTBQ+ shelter who are all too happy to take their youngest, and newest member under their collective wing.
The wizarding world is unprepared for the ball of raging anger and soda tab chains that is 11-year-old Harry Potter. Cynical, unafraid to get into fights, and smarter than people take him for, he's not the boy the wizarding world wants him to be.
Told from the perspective of one of the teenagers.

Summary
Update as of Nov 2020: this series is abandoned! I have mixed feelings about some of the choices I made when writing it and have neither the time nor the motivation to go back and rewrite it to move forward with the fic. Sorry to say the muse has moved on.

Dick Grayson attempts to get to know his mother's brother. A Mr. Vernon Dursley. It turns out, Dick doesn't like him or his family very much, but he becomes very interested in their strange nephew, Harry Potter. Dick, and the rest of the batfamily, decide Harry is much better off with them. Really.
