    “This needs to be cauterized,” Zane told her, his voice firm and steady. Sora finally looked up, only to give the nindroid a dazed but confused look. “Normally, Kai could do it. But he is not here. I would never ask you to do this if we had any other choice.”

    Cold once again settled in Sora’s bones and she backed away. “N-no,” she gasped out. “I-I can’t—”

    “You have the only other fire,” Zane insisted, reaching for her hand. His were so much warmer than normal, but the smooth metal grounded the panicking Master of Technology. “You must.”
